Does TikTok Allow AI Videos?

TikTok allows some AI-generated videos, but realistic AI content may require labeling and all other applicable content rules still apply.

Before posting

DisclosureCheck whether generated faces, voices or scenes require an AI label.
PeopleConfirm permission and review how every person is depicted.
AudioListen to the complete soundtrack and check later edits separately.
ContextDo not present a fictional performance as a real event.

TikTok's official AI-generated content guidance describes creator-applied and automatic labels. TikTok also reiterated realistic AI labeling in a November 24, 2025 Newsroom post.

The Newsroom post was re-read on October 21, 2026. The Help page could not be re-read in that check, and no current physical-phone screens were verified. Follow TikTok's current instructions rather than a fixed screenshot sequence.

What a label does not prove

A label supplies creation context. It is not permission to use a portrait or soundtrack, an approval receipt, or a promise of distribution, monetization or views. TikTok's other content restrictions still apply.

Downloading a Hotel Lobby AI MP4 does not publish it or set a TikTok disclosure choice. Review the entire final file and read TikTok's current guidance before posting. For Meta's separate approach, use the Instagram AI video guide.
